Just want to note that the piece below is not intended to be a dig at Hong Kong people （我雖然係飲溫哥華水，但我流香港血，係香港人 le ga… ）. I would’ve said basically the same thing (replace “Mandarin” with “Cantonese”) to Mandarin-speaking people who comes into regular contact with Cantonese. 千祈唔好話我傷害香港人民感情……
